They want to blame this on being unvaccinated, yet it's the vaccine that has led to these cases and all of the hospitalizations. In 2016, when only 31% of the pediatric population had been vaccinated, they had 90, yes, ninety, cases of measles. Now, following a huge immunization push, they have 12,000+ cases and over 9,000 hospitalizations.

The CDC tells us that the death rate for measles is 1-2 per 1,000 cases. If so, it's the vaccine that's at fault. The death rate when I was in med school was less than 1 per 100,000 cases. The difference between then and now? The rise in the use of the MMR.
