Thomas doubted when the other apostles said they had seen Jesus raised from the dead. He said that he would not believe it till he touched the holes in his hands and side. Jesus did appear to him and Thomas did touch his hands and side and with great shock and awe hollered, "My Lord and My God"! Jesus said, "you have seen me and now believe, that's good, but more blest by far is he who has not seen me and yet believes".
