A reliable guide for the future

Does the incredibility of numerology and other forms of fortune-telling mean that you cannot learn anything about the future? Fortunately not!

Abstract numbers cannot tell people what the future will bring. But the "living God", who "from the beginning proclaims the outcome", has done so. For this he uses his written word, the Bible (1 Timothy 4:10; Isaiah 46:1. Contrary to the statements of numerologists, the Word of the living God is also "able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. In this way, it helps us recognize what motivates us and what will bring us real success (Hebrews 4:12).

Our Creator, the author of the Bible, is the only one who can accurately predict the future. For God is almighty, and he has always kept his word. "I have spoken it; I will bring it about," said Jehovah. (Isaiah 46:11) And after Joshua had led the Israelites into the land of promise, he could confidently say: "No promise had fallen away from all the good promise that Jehovah had made to the house of Israel; everything came to pass." (Joshua 21:45; 23:14)

The Bible contains many prophecies that have yet to be fulfilled. (Psalm 37:10, 11; Proverbs 2:21, 22) These include promises of a time when the earth will be cleansed of all evil and transformed into a paradise. Isn't that an appealing prospect for the future? Do you personally trust the Creator to have the power and wisdom to restore order on our planet? Then you will certainly be interested in what the Bible has to say about the future of the earth.*

Those who want to invest their time wisely will therefore strive for an exact understanding of the Bible and its prophecies instead of trying to read the future from numbers.
