Just as the refiner passes gold through the fire to burn away impurities, so must the dross of sin be burned away from your heart, for only the pure of heart will see Me. Purity is the quality or state of being pure; faultless, uncompromised, and unadulterated; free from anything that contaminates. Thus, the righteous life walked in purity is one in which the corruption of sin no longer determines the choices made by the individual. Because I AM holy and pure, I demand holiness and purity from those who walk in the Way. You have heard it said, “a little leaven, leavens the whole lump”; but I tell you, a little impurity invalidates integrity and stains the moral fabric of the soul. Beloved, a little sin destroys holiness and moves you further from My presence. Even the slightest sin is a lethal contaminant and must be removed, for no immoral or impure person has any inheritance in My Kingdom. Therefore, My child, endeavor to live in purity; continually confess your every sin to Me, and I will purify you from all unrighteousness.
~ Like obedient children, do not be shaped by the cravings you had formerly in your ignorance. Instead, just like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in everything you do. For it is written, “Kedoshim you shall be, for I AM kadosh.” (“You shall be holy, for I AM holy.”) 1 Peter 1:14-16
