"1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted a Culture" is a very deceptive movie that is being released next week. The argument it presents has been debunked by real Biblical scholars for the last 75 years. There is no mystery about the clear meaning of the Greek word: "arsenokoitai". In the time of the Apostle Paul the Greek translation of the Old Testament (The Septuagint) was commonly used. Every time Paul quotes the Old Testament he uses The Septuagint. There were no verse or chapter numbers back then. So, when a teacher or preacher would reference an OT verse they would use a recognizable word or phrase and the people would know what he was talking about. For example, if there were no chapter or verse numbers today; if I quoted "For God so loved the World", you immediately know I'm referencing John 3:16. It's always been known, even before any English translation was produced, that Paul was referencing Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13. Pastors and Teachers prepare!
