Dear LEE,
We’re continuing our journey through the pages of the beautiful book Abba’s Heart.

Unfortunately, many of us experienced the pain of having an absent father because he walked away or passed away prematurely...Because of this, most of us find it difficult to allow ourselves to be loved by a God who calls Himself our Father.

Yet, it’s His love that holds the key to all of our healing.

So, it’s as a Father that God revealed Himself when He sent Jesus. Jesus said, ““If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”” (the Bible, John 14:7, NLT)

LEE, every time you’ve encountered Jesus, it’s God the Father you’ve encountered. Everything Jesus accomplished reveals the heart of the One who sent Him – the Father – and was done by His authority.

Here’s a magnificent example: the adulterous woman Jesus defends in the face of those who accuse her of her sin. He raises her up with love and, without condemning her, forgives her.

The ultimate example is Jesus offering His life so that we could again have a relationship with the Father.

Today, draw near without fear to this God who wants to be your father. Remember all the times you’ve seen Him move, every time He gave you peace and healed your wounds.

It’s that father He wants to be for you today...and every day of your life!
Thanks for existing!
