I made 75 key lanyards to hand out to nurses and others on "Giving Day," Sept. 16th. Giving Day is the day my very best friend died. She was someone who gave of herself, her time, and her resources daily. She worked voluntarily at nursing homes, the city library, her church's resale shop, and helped get food, clothing and jobs for anyone in need. She helped the school get shies and supplies for kids in need. She took care of her bedridden Mom and her daughter & family after her daughter's brain surgery. She took stray cats to the Veterinarian to pay for spaying or neutering. She got on a bike EVERY morning with 2 bags of cat food and fed all the stray cats around the city. She got me and my husband (her cousin!) together! All while suffering from Marfan syndrome. So instead of being sad on this day, we go out to donate, help, and give to all the places she did. This bag is the 20 lanyards that will go to my Mom's Hospice team.?
