Everyone should be moving away from the Google search engine. First, because Google spies on everybody. Secondly because the company manipulates search results for political purposes.
With that said, which alternatives should you consider?
DuckDuckGo - A proxy search engine that uses Bing results. Lots of people use this one, but One America News (OAN) recently did an expose on it, and the company may be giving search data to Google behind everyone's back.
SwissCows - Another privacy based proxy search engine, which uses Bing results like DuckDuckGo. As the name implies, it's based in Switzerland. You might want to check them out.
Startpage - Another privacy based, proxy search engine. They use Google results. However, they claim to anonymize all of your searches.
Brave Search - Now in beta, the company behind the Brave browser now has their own proprietary, indexing search engine. (In other words, it's a true search engine like Bing and Google.)
