Rise and shine Warriors! Happy TGIF!! The Enemy always goes for the jugular – by engaging us on his battlefield (our thoughts/emotions)! It is impossible to respond spiritually when we respond to our own thoughts and emotions. This is probably the weakest link in the Believer’s walk with God, since our first responses is automatically carnal, instead of spiritual.
So, remember this Scripture: Isaiah 55:8-9 (God speaking) “For my thoughts (God’s) are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways (God’s), saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways (God’s) higher than your ways, and my thoughts (God’s) than your thoughts.”
. . . which is why to FIND TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH we must go to and respond with the Word of God.
You can't blame your pastor . . . you can't blame your Sunday school teacher . . . you can't blame your husband or your wife . . . YOU are responsible for your own thoughts AND ACTIONS.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
Romans 8:5-8 “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS.”
