Another reason why such unbridled lusts and pleasures are utterly to be condemned, because whoever gives himself to the world, divorces himself from God, and breaks the band of that holy and spiritual marriage.
Many of us have become so complacent that our consciences have become SEARED. Brethren, God does not change! We have no excuse for continuing in things God HATES. ALL the excuses that enter your mind, are put there by the Enemy . . . certainly not the Holy Spirit. The Enemy wants us to worship him instead of God (that is what Satan has always wanted); AND to deceive us into giving him LEGAL RIGHT. When we participate in worldly (pagan) institutions/holidays and WILLFULLY choose/cling to worldly standards and institutions instead of God’s commands, God views it as ‘ADULTERY’ against Him. He is a jealous God!
Deuteronomy 4:24 “For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”
Exodus 34:14-16 “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: 15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; 16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.”
1 Corinthians 10:21 “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.”
2 Corinthians 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
