In a segment on โ๐๐ก๐ก ๐ง๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐โ Friday discussing the Covid fallout with RINO Jeb Bush, Tapper realized the shocking decline in childrenโs development due to the COVID lockdowns was not being discussed by the mainstream media.
โI have to say Iโm surprised that there hasnโt been a national conversation about the damage done to kids because of these school closures and the virtual learning,โ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐.
โIโm not saying there should be a national do-over, but we canโt just pretend that fifth graders who are now seventh graders โ that that didnโt happen.โ
โI feel like there should be and not with a blame gameโฆlook, it happened,โ Tapper said. โPeople did it, it was criticized โ the school closures, the virtual learning, etc โ but here we are. But there needs to be a bipartisan movement, you know?โ
Data revealing the COVID lockdowns had devastating effects on children has become so compelling and alarming that even media figures like Tapper are being forced to talk about it on air.
โAverage scores for age 9 students in 2022 declined 5 points in reading and 7 points in mathematics compared to 2020,โ the Department of Education claimed in a recent report.
