๐Ÿ‘‰ ๐Ÿ‘‰ ๐Ÿ‘‰ Beware the push by those on the Left ๐—”๐—ก๐—— the Right who preach biometrics, facial recognition, and other intrusive technologies in the name of increased security and safety.

Remember that what you trade to gain that supposed security and safety is your personal anonymity and freedom.

While elitist authoritarians will argue that if you are not a criminal and have nothing to hide, these intrusive technologies won't harm you because ๐—ง๐—›๐—˜๐—ฌ will not use them against you ...

Recall that Mao Tse Tung said the very same thing when he began the the ๐—›๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—™๐—น๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€ ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ป, also termed the Hundred Flowers Movement (Chinese: ็™พ่Šฑ้ฝๆ”พ).

It was a period from 1956 to 1957 in the People's Republic of China during which the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) encouraged citizens to ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—น๐˜† ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ of the Communist Party.

Following the failure of the campaign, CCP Chairman Mao conducted an ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ป on those who criticized the party, which continued through 1959. Many were sent to their deaths or to long-term forced labor camps.

In other words, the authoritarian will tell you - "๐™”๐™ค๐™ช ๐™๐™–๐™ซ๐™š ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™—๐™š ๐™–๐™›๐™ง๐™–๐™ž๐™™ ๐™ค๐™›! ๐™‡๐™ค๐™ค๐™ ! ๐™”๐™ค๐™ช ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ก๐™ก ๐™๐™–๐™ซ๐™š ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™›๐™ง๐™š๐™š๐™™๐™ค๐™ข!"

But if you exercise it, beware. Now they know who you are, and they're coming after you.

You say that could never happen in the West? Remember that ๐—š๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜†'๐˜€ ๐—ช๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐˜‚๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฐ was once considered "The West," too. And while the Nazis were not Communists, their authoritarian and nightmarish behavior was hardly different in the end.

And if ๐—ง๐—›๐—˜๐—ฆ๐—˜ people had had access to biometrics, facial recognition, and more ... in the 1930s, 50s, and 60's ... imagine how much ๐— ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—˜ horrible those periods of history might have been.

We must not allow the governments of so-called free peoples to fall into ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† any more than they already have - and we must fight to reclaim the liberties that have already been lost.
