The 2019 Gillespie County Fair Parade will commence Friday, August 23, at 10am in Fredericksburg, Texas.
I need people to help me carry the big, 12'x20' Come And Take It flag (with a Barret .50 BMG) and other, smaller flags, such as Betsy Ross, a depiction of the original, 1835 Come And Take It flag with a cannon, and other assorted historical flags. The more people we have, the more flags we can carry. We also will carry a banner with Battle Flags, Etc, on it, along with the website: www.comeandtakeit.com
With Present Trump, Democrats, and Republicans threatening to attack the Second Amendment, it's doubly time for us to let everyone know that we still hold to "shall not be infringed," and "Come And Take It,.
The parade goes for 1-2 miles at a fairly brisk pace, and it will likely be very hot. Bring good walking shoes, a hat, something to protect yourself from the sun, and cold water.
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to open carry, but please do carry concealed.
There should be 5.000 to 10,000 people there, so your efforts can have a great impact!
If you are not strong enough to carry the big flag, you can help with one of the smaller ones, or just walk along with us. The more the merrier!
