I learned air conditioning and refrigeration and major home appliance repair. It worked well for me. Because of what I learned I eventually went on to building maintenance management and construction management. I am now retired. No complaints.

I retired last year, but out of my 47 years of full-time work, my favorite job was Cabinetmaker. Creating something that will last for years - or even decades - with your own hands is just very satisfying. I also worked in a couple factories as a production machinist, but somehow, working with steel just wasn't as satisfying to me as working with wooed.
