Welcome to Barb's People Builders Books for Education and Homeschooling. We also sell new and used books that entertain and build up families. We specialize in Christian fiction and nonfiction, living books homeschooling families seek, and picture books. We have a very large selection of teacher resources, K-12 workbooks, and children's nonfiction. Our education materials are from prominent Christian and secular publishers, and none were purchased after 2014. We do not carry Common Core materials.
Our online bookstore is hosted by Biblio.com. We are an independent bookseller. We don't sell at Amazon, but we keep prices for our materials competitive with theirs. We have physical possession of all books we sell. When you buy from us, we are lucky to break even. We'd like to retire, so we discount as much as we can afford to so as to clear inventory. When we do have profits, you can be sure none of them will be spent on organizations that support abortion or advocate socialist causes.
We have not yet had time to list most of the books in our possession. We don't bother listing what we will lose money on in our store. We do sell some of it on Instagram on our @barbspeoplebuilders account. I may also offer specials here for those who are willing to be invoiced by PayPal and use PayPal to make purchases. I can offer better prices direct than on sites where I have to pay commissions.
Most of our books were purchased direct from their publishers between 1994 and 2014, when I had to take a five year break from bookselling for health reasons. Most have minor cosmetic defects they acquired in storage or while on display. They are not used, but they may not look as new as they did when I first got them. The prices take that into account.
We do answer questions posed by email. Please inquire if there's a book you need or you want suggestions for books or teaching materials. Please include "BOOK INQUIRY" in the subject line or I may not see it. We carry most major education publishers including some that may have gone out of business in the last five years. Much of what we carry is out of print now or passed on to a different publisher.
