I am starting to believe that this pandemic has done more to divide the people of this country than anything else has for a long time. It doesn't divide along the lines of conservative/liberal, race, religion, wealth, etc. but between them all, shattering what is left of unity.
It is easy to get wrapped up in "conspiracy theories" and there is so much misinformation out there that it seems there is no way to know the truth. (I know I am guilty of passing on things that ended up not being true, even though they looked legit.) But one thing I do know! Our elected "servants" have proven over and over to be power hungry and cannot be trusted. If you read the federalist papers, you will see that our founding fathers never intended for us to elect people and then sit back and do nothing. We are to be ever watchful of their actions and hold them accountable. Are we doing that? Mostly not - and haven't for a long time. Now if we say the government is doing something wrong, we are reprimanded that we are to obey the government that God gave us. Well, WE are the government! We are to obey God and the Constitution, which is actually the law of the land; most people seem to have forgotten that. I cry for what our country has become.
