A very interesting take. I wasn't aware so many professing Christians were renouncing their faith. I suppose it proves the point that one can claim to be anything from a duck in a pond to an alien from Mars to a faithful Christian. That person can even mimic the words and actions well enough to convince himself, yet all that makes him is a good actor.
The reality is once someone is truly saved by Jesus Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, and reconciled to Yahweh, the thought of being separated from Him is....well, unthinkable.
I have the feeling we are coming upon a time when we are going to see a great many other false converts either renounce their faith or have road-to-Damascus style conversions.
