Simple hypothetical question:
Imagine you have acreage, and the foliage/trees were turning into a thick mass of dead debris around your house due to lack of maintenance and dry weather.
To prevent forest fires would you:
A) spend thousands+ to buy an electric car, solar panels, high efficiency appliances, etc while ignoring the overgrowth, and protest to mandate that your neighbors do the same. Then wait 100+ years to see if that made an impact.
Or
clean up the overgrowth of trees and foliage to reduce the risk of a fire?
If you have ever grown lettuce, you know that too much growth can choke out the other plants. When you plant the seedlings, you place them closer together to get a better chance of achieving germination. If all of them end up germinating, it is recommended that you space them further apart so that they can grow healthy and without disease. Trees are an amazing renewable resource like the lettuce we eat. If we take care of it the right way, we will also thrive.
