Burke's Law,for those of us that remember, was a detective show that aired on ABC from 1963-1966. For the final season, the show was renamed "Amos Burke Secret Agent." Gene Barry starred as the millionaire LAPD captain that was chauffeured around in a Rolls-Royce. Each week a different celebrity (Sammy Davis Jr, Buster Keaton, Jayne Mansfield, Elizabeth Montgomery, Zsa Zsa Gabor, etc.) played a criminal. The final year Barry became more of an international secret agent. This would be one of Aaron Spelling's early successes. Burke's Rolls-Royce was always a central part of the show. The car used was this 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II--and It was used throughout the run of the series. In real life, Barry also drove a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud---a 1966 Silver Cloud III painted by George Barris a creme de cocoa color with white pinstriping. He said the show inspired him to have one for himself. After the production of the show ended, Four Star Productions, the show's producer, sold the 1962 Rolls to one of its directors, Robert Gageby. Gageby's family kept the car for 30 years. The car is now in Florida and is still in stunning condition, having traveled only 35,000 miles since 1962. As a side-note, ABC relaunched "Burke's Law" in 1994 starring an older Gene Barry. It lasted two seasons. Again, they used a Silver Cloud--a different one that had two-tone paint--which appeared to be black over silver sand.
