I keep hearing: I do not trust anyone, or you are one of the few I still trust. And it reminded me how very very important trust is. If we lose trust for each other in a marriage, the relationship becomes fragile. If we lose trust in our leaders and those in authority over us, we tend to doubt everything about them, even when they are truthful.
You and I cannot make another person trustworthy. That is out of our control. But what is in our control is, we can be a trustworthy person to others. It requires humility and hard work.
Rght now, in our world, Christians desperately need to put their best foot forward and do all they can to be the anchor for those who live in fear and have lost all trust.
To be one who can be trusted, is one of the greatest values you and I can own. Hold on to it. Work hard at keeping it.
Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
