I need to rant. Lost dogs...does anyone realize that when a dog is wandering around and seeming lost, that more times than not, they will eventually return home? A dog who escapes the house generally has a 1 mile radius of travel. So, it will take a while for their return. Under no circumstances should anyone rescue the animal. Don't feed or water it. Ignoring it is the best option, no matter what the circumstances or type of weather. The best alternative option would be to call animal control and let them take care of it. I am so pissed off with all the stupid people who are reporting that they have picked up stray dogs, and posting for the owner. What if that dog takes medications? You delay the dog returning and its routine. Don't tell me I'm a bitch, or how cruel I am. Talk to a vet, and they will tell you the same thing.
