Charter for a new party to compete with the current political parties.
First, we need to agree on a name: The American Patriots Party, Liberty Bell Party. If you have an idea for another name, comment. We will eventually need an original logo, please comment.
Charter, what we stand for:
· Convention of States website petition. Term limits can be imposed.
· Convention of States website petition. We can control spending.
· No more foreign aid. How much has gone from that Government to the people? How many US politicians got kickbacks? Is there a documented performance report on the success or failure of the aid? Time to support grassroots efforts instead, missionaries, charities, food drops to needy locations, foundations able to get medicine to the people.
· No more rubber stamped citizenship. If immigrants did not complete the correct process, they should be disqualified from voting or holding public office.
· If States are allowing undocumented immigrants to get a drivers license, remove the prompt to get voter registration. TX does that during licens processing. What about other states?
· To prevent election tampering, we will go back to in person voting and paper ballots. Medical reasons can mail in with FedEx. The military will supervise voting and vote counting.
· Social Security money will forever be isolated and invested in Treasury bills. Low risk, low interest. Congress needs to pay US back when it was used in the General Fund.
· Welfare and free housing needs to be phased out. That was a program to gain votes. It broke the spirit of getting ahead on your own. A jobs program, sex education, mental health services, a path to trade school, or a path to college will replace it.
· Our military will no longer be free. Countries will have to pay for our services. The country will always have the option of paying for mercenaries themselves. Their choice. We can help them set up a their own military for free.
· Time to let the Middle East sink or swim on their own. People that run each country have the ability to prevent terrorism if they really want to.
· FBI and CIA should a have broader ability to identify terrorists in America. Terrorist cells should be identified and participants deported. Any terrorist training camp on US soil should be dismantled and participants deported.
· Muslims unable to complete correct citizenship process with allegiance to the US, need to be deported.
· Only native born citizens can run for any political office.
· Congress can no longer vote themselves raises. A special vote by Americans will approve amount and raise.
· Congress will have to participate in Social Security and health care like every US citizen does. No special program for them.
· When a politician leaves their position, they get NO further money in any form, including Presidents.
· Former Presidents pay for their own security.
· Politicians, especially lawyers, running for any position should have a business background. A business class, Economics, from any junior college can be taken during their campaign.
· Congress needs to supply a copy of their taxes on the IRS website every year.
· The media needs to be scrutinized. Yellow journalism should be defined and a crime. (Suppression of information, Fake news, Opinionated reporting, Lying, Reporting news before all facts are out, Causing riots, Overtly hurting someone's reputation with baseless information, not debating both sides of an issue)
· Campaign contribution contributors should be in a public record with dollar amount contributed. Laws for contributions should be followed. Campaign money cannot be used for private use. Violators of laws should be swiftly punished. Fine, resignation of office, or incarceration.
· If a company pays taxes in the US, all employees need to be American citizens.
