Magnum Spring Piston Rifle Fever Fun:
Wow, that was a mouthful LOL.
The photo was borrowed from "Airgun Detectives" on the YouTube with the Gamo G Magnum.
There is no doubt about it, that a magnum spring piston rifle is a whole lot of fun to shoot.
Sometimes though, that can be at the expense of accuracy because of extreme hold sensitivity.
Top to bottom is how I rate spring piston rifles.
#1 Accuracy
#2 Trigger
#3 Ease of shooting
#4 Cocking effort involved
#5 Extreme barrel droop is not tolerated
#6 Power and Velocity
#7 Looks and Ergonomics
Generally you need some sort of balance between power, weight of the rifle and accuracy.
Generally most shooter friendly spring piston rifles, will fall somewhere in between "super magnum" and "full power".
Super Magnum is 20 + FPE and full power is 12 FPE.
Having a well-balanced rifle with a crisp trigger and not heavy like a Mac truck, is a very nice setup.
Generally the high end springers are much nicer to shoot because of the blend of these characteristics.
I cannot wait until springtime. How about you?
