Dear Losers & Lovers & Leaders,
It is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all.
In the past, I did not believe that. Then I tried to love. Sure enough, I lost. More than once.
I got all wounded and hurt. And hurt people, hurt people. I was a little sorry.
Then godly sorrow was gifted to me. 2 Cor 7:10 helped me with that.
So, I stumbled into some flashes of love and spilled out some drops of love. That paid off!
After hording my new treasure, I doled out the excess for an exciting return on investment.
Now, I’m hooked on love – addicted to agape – indulging in intimacy.
Don’t worry, it’s legal – even sanctioned – God is love.
The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts is a jealous Lover who intensely desires to have more and more of us. James 4:5 TPT
Come close to God, and he will come close to you. / Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. James 4:8 GW / TPT
Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see — how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Ps 34:8 Msg
What you plant will always be the very thing you harvest. / The one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life. Gal 6:7 TPT / Msg
You will harvest what you plant - IF you plant - after you plant - and so much more than you plant.
The best seed to plant is love because:
Love never fails. / Love never stops loving. 1 Cor 13:8 NKJV / TPT
Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. / Above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run. 1 Cor 13:13 Msg / TPT
Why?
We love because he loved us first. 1 John 4:19 NET
Now that we have this flow of love…
Let us devote ourselves to loving one another. Love comes straight from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and truly knows God. 1 John 4:7 Voice
At peace with the question of love:
We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us. God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them. 1 John 4:16 TPT
