Post the 2020 election I cannot help but to be thinking, “Why don’t our elected officials represent all the rest of us?” My believes are that very few people hold views that are strictly conservative, or strictly liberal, and that we most all agree the system is broken -- Our Government is no longer serving its constituents. Why and how this has become the case?

Think my next read will be “The Politics Industry” which offers some insights to our dysfunctional system it has become. Though we cannot and should not live under the illusion that we will get everything we want, all the time. Governance is by all measures a series of compromises.

The polarization we have become of representation in our country is dividing a zero-sum outcome for which we cannot stand. We should not be leaving the ideas and positions from both sides that have merit and are good to no path to implementation.

There is a need for a better understanding of what is broken, and what we as citizens can, and need to do is the first step to changing it.
