Polling shows 90% of Americans support voter IDs. After all, Americans need to show an ID pretty much for most things we do. You have to show ID to buy alcohol, cigarettes, to give blood, food stamps, open a bank account and get your Social Security, get a library card, to book an airplane ticket, rent a car, to adopt a pet, a fishing license or a marriage license.
But the Senate is about to vote to prohibit states from checking IDs before people vote for our President! We are among the 90% of Americans who support voter ID checks as a common-sense way to preserve the integrity of our elections. And we call on Senators to vote against this bill. Either require IDs for all transactions - or for NONE of them!
