DOES TRUTH SET FREE?
Truth is always valued and honoured, and this is from the time immemorial. It is strange though that a child is never taught to tell a lie. Why? He already knows how to lie – but how? And parents do an arduous job to teach a child to speak truth.
In one of his insightful statements, Winston Churchill said, “In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies.” This statement is pretty valid in current times of ours. Isn’t it?
In a famous and lovely Hollywood movie, ‘A Few Good Men’ a very famous dialogue is still alive today. “I want the truth!” and the response was “You can't handle the truth!” Pretty bold and daring statement implying a lot.
The pages of history has another famous entry on truth. Pilate, a governor of Romans Empire in First century AD, asked, “What is truth?” And intriguing thing is he asked this question to The Truth
which he couldn’t recognise.
It is true that no one wants to live in deception, hence the search for truth will never end.
