In this post, we will continue a message titled “Are You Part Of God’s Army?”

2. Jesus Has Given Us Power Over The Enemy
b) Casting out devils
There are many types of evil spirits that sometimes manifest in the sins of the flesh. In Galatians 5:19-21 it says “19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

We know every person in sin is not possessed with a devil but when we look in society today many people who are in sin open the door to the devil to be possessed with an evil spirit.

However, we should be encouraged as Christians. Jesus Christ has given us power over the devil and the fallen angels or evil spirits that were cast out of heaven. In verse 17 of Mark 16 Jesus said “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;”

For more information about people being possessed by the evil spirits see the post titled “Demon Possession.”

In future posts I will share more about this topic.
