Between 1933 – 1945, Hitler killed over 11 Million People, which does not include the many more millions of military & civilians killed in Europe because of WW2. Upwards of 80 Million people were killed worldwide (CA + TX + NY), with many times more wounded & emotionally scared.
How do 11 Million People allow themselves to be killed? The answer is incredibly simple!!! You LIE to them and constantly change the lie to meet the objectives!!!
Hitler said: “Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.”
Following right along in Hitler’s footsteps, our government & the media & the anti-gun crowd keep lying to us every day. Unfortunately, most people don’t stop to understand what is going on. To make matters worse, our educational system has stopped teaching some very important concepts about our Constitution, The Bill of Rights, & especially the 2nd Amendment.
Now that we have set the stage, let’s take a look at why the 2nd Amendment was so important to our Founding Fathers and the original colonies.
The American Revolution was a political upheaval that took place between 1765 & 1783 during which the Thirteen Colonies rejected the unreasonable demands of the British monarchy & aristocracy. The colonist went up against the strongest military of that time and won. Before the Revolution, most of the colonists were skilled marksmen and had guns out of necessity. Without their guns they would never have won independence.
When the Constitution & Bill of Rights were created, they were very aware that citizens needed a way to hold any government in check, not only with the right structure between the central government, states, & local communities, but all levels of government needed to understand the power of armed citizens if the government got out of hand. They also understood the centuries of armed conflict between the Monarchy and the citizens in England and didn’t want to repeat that.
Second Amendment: A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
George Washington: A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.
How many of you know that during WW2, the commander-in-chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy said: “You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”???
Now let’s consider what happens every time there is a “mass shooting” of a few people!!! Our government immediately blames the guns and wants to place more restrictions without being honest about their real objectives. Some politicians are already saying that we should get rid of the 2nd Amendment and confiscate all guns. At that point, we will be just as helpless as the 56 million people exterminated last century.
The media incorrectly calls the M15 or AK47 an “assault rifle”. An “assault weapon” would allow you to pull back on the trigger and it would shoot without stopping. Whether you are using an M15, AK47, or pistol, you must pull the trigger & release it for every shot. A magazine for a pistol might hold 7 or 15 bullets and the M15 might hold 30. Once all bullets are fired, you can quickly swap out the empty magazine for another. As we have seen, when a politician talks about firing 700 bullets/minute, they simply don’t know what they are talking about.
Conclusion: For your own safety and the safety of our country, the next time you hear talk about more gun control, just remember that the 2nd Amendment was put in place to give citizens a forceful way to hold a tyrannical government in check. The 2nd Amendment was not put there to protect you against the next door criminal, although it can sure help. Don’t ever be lulled into thinking that the state is your friend if they take away your right to self defense!!! And don’t ever think it couldn’t happen here!!!
