A downpipe back exhaust system just means you are going to get everything from the downpipe (the 6.7 powerstroke straight pipe at the very back of the turbo) to the tailpipe (the part that sticks out the back of the truck). You can see the best results from using a downpipe back system for two reasons, 1) if you go up in diameter, you are going to lower EGTs. Many companies for a lot of years offered DPF-delete kits, and many still do. You just won't find them (or their required PCM tuning) here at Stage 3.
Also, the Derringer will not remove emissions equipment, it's illegal. Derringer features patented ActiveSafety circuitry which features normally-closed relays. If an error occurs within the module, it seamlessly returns the truck to stock power. The ECM doesn’t know the Derringer is adding fuel so its fuel rate and reported torque value remain stock.
