Premier League

Premier League new boys Blackpool are red hot favorites for relegation, although they were involved in one of the most convincing victories in opening round of the new season. And they weren’t on wrong side of the 0-4 result at Wigan. They are currently priced @1.35 to be relegated at betfair, and their victims Wigan are third favorite for relegation, available @2.37 at coral.

Tangerines are heading for Emirates this weekend, and as you expected, they are clear underdogs against Arsenal. Priced @19.00 at bet365 they have really slim chances of getting anything, but in the same time they have nothing to lose in this fixture, so I would expect brave performance from Ian Holloway’s side.

Both teams to score here @2.20 at Stan James is the bet here, but can’t blame those who are going for long shot on Blackpool win here.

Verdict 2-1

Blackburn Rovers are in takeover talks these days, and although Indian businessman Ahsan Ali Syed promised £100m transfer kitty to boss Sam Allardyce, Big Sam is not the man to be carried away with it. He’s heading for Birmingham in this round with the same players he had in opening-round win against Everton. Win is a win, but their performance against Everton was far less impressive then result, and I think Allardyce will seek improvement from his squad. I don’t doubt there will be positive response from his players, and with possible comings to the club, all current players will be motivated enough to keep their jobs.

I feel that Rovers could nick a win against Birmingham, and 3.54 at TitanBet looks like decent price. Although this match looks destined to finish low scoring, I notice that Over 2.5 goals is overpriced and see some value in 2.40 at betbubbles for more than 2 goals.

Verdict 1-2

Championship

Leeds and Milwall are new old-faces in English second tier of football. Leeds are always followed by huge ambitions of their fans, and despite they struggled a bit in opening rounds, they have decent enough squad for this level. It is true they have some of their most influential players out through various reasons, but they are always favorites at Elland Road. Price for a home win is 2.38 at Victor Chandler, and they should be backed at this price against anyone at this level. Milwall maybe have shown more, but I doubt they can repeat their 2-0 win from last season. This one is risky, but deserves attention.

Verdict 2-0

Nottm Forest are maybe one of early disappointments in Championship this season. Although they are one of promotion favorites they showed nothing in first three games and everything bar opening 20 minutes against Leeds was far from impressive. Reading are not shining either this season, but with Shane Long fit for this match, 2.30 at 888 Sport looks like nice value.
