How EA improved the “classic” franchise model in Madden 21 and later games.


It has been about a month since EA responded to trending hashtags on Twitter FixMaddenFranchise. After previous “Crazy 21” game records showed that the Madden team ignored the Madden 21 Coins mode of the game, the label responded even though I stated it in the past that the franchise would focus on it.


EA finally shared some of their plans to introduce some improvements to the franchise model in Madden 21 and future Madden champions, all of which started with its in-house franchise team. The Gridiron Notes post points out that the franchise model will receive “a higher percentage of team bandwidth” and “through the post-launch support of Madden NFL 21, the release of Madden NFL 22 and subsequent greater investment in core franchise functions.”


This is the second point where the team sees Madden as a real-time service because we update it every week. I think this for the franchise model means that there will not be any changes to the model before the August 28 release date. The team even said that in the next few months we will see changes through two or three updates. Although meaningful changes cannot be launched into Madden 21, which is unrealistic, I am disappointed that I started “Franchise” on the day of release and they have no plans to introduce it to any update of the mode.


What is exciting is in the post-launch support list of the planned Madden 21 franchise model, and even what they might do with Madden 21. It may change, and there is no timetable now, franchise players have been looking for many ways to improve the quality of life.


I know that many players want to create team helmets, logos, jerseys, etc. from scratch. This is a feature that many sports games (including the earlier Madden title) already have, but the Madden team will focus on more content.
