Our Social Media Slumber

Breaking up with FB is hard to do

In 2008 the Winklevoss twins sued Mark Zuckerberg for $65M for stealing their idea for a social media and won. So, it was proved in court that MZ is a calloused thief. Now he is worth Trillions. If you knew that a local restaurant owner started his business by stealing, would you eat there? Probably not. Would you support him financially in any way? I doubt it. Are we as a society so complacent that we don't care about who's pocket our money goes into? The more people there are on FB, the more advertisers there are. The more advertisers, the more money he makes. The more money he has, the more power he has.

The realization of how much influence MZ has in the political arena makes me sick to my stomach. He can delete who and what he wants, when he wants. And he is protecting himself legally and making it even easier for him to control the content with the changes coming on October 1st. I'm sure his legal team has chosen the wording very carefully.

So, herein lies the problem...how do you, as a patriot, encourage your (patriot) friends on FB to make a change? It's so much easier to stay. To do nothing. We fear losing touch with everybody. Well, it's like turning a big ship. It has to happen slowly. I will keep my FB account so I can continue to reveal the infringement of my right to free speech until I too am kicked off. In time, I hope that my posts there will at least plant a seed and get people thinking about who they are supporting...the liberal agenda. It's time we wake up from our FB slumber.
