To play 2048 on your computer, you will need to use the arrow keys. Alternatively, you can play 2048 on your iPad or any other mobile device by swiping in either direction. The goal of the game is to arrive to the number 2048 by the use of additions based on the number two and its multiples. You will have a grid with a total of 16 tiles to work with. There will be a total of two numbers revealed, which will most likely be two twos and possibly a four. Try to link two numbers of similar value by moving either up or down, left or right. When two numbers that are equal to one another are added together, the total will be the same. If we run out of equal numbers on our grid or are unable to connect them, the game will give us another two, a four, or even an eight so that we can continue playing. If we run out of equal numbers on our grid, we will lose the game. If there are no empty spaces left on our grid, then the game is over. When we put numbers together, we acquire bigger numbers, and we come closer to the target number of 2048, which is the objective of the game.
