During the extended validity of your ticket, you may travel whenever you'd like and modify the departure date at no additional cost.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Emirates recently updated its Flight change policy, allowing customers to make free adjustments to their flight reservations for flights purchased after September 30, 2020.

The updated flight change policy states:

  • Prior to April 1, 2021, tickets with a departure date between April 1 and December 31, 2021, will be good for travel up to 36 months after the date of issue.
  • Tickets will now be good for usage for up to 24 months following the date of issue if they are purchased on or after April 1, 2021.
  • Tickets will now be valid for use at any time up to 36 months following the date of issue for reservations made on or after September 30, 2020 with a travel date up to December 31, 2021.

During the extended validity of your ticket, you may travel whenever you'd like and modify the departure date at no additional cost. As long as you stay in the same region, you can also alter your destination.
