PSVR 2 is yet to receive a release date after 2023. Sony attempts to ensure that it has enough PS5 consoles that can play games with the new headset. The hardware is only compatible with PS5 and won't be backwards compatible with PSVR games.

What we know about this hardware is that it comes with several impressive specs. Like that of the PS5 along with the DualSense controller, Sony have incorporated haptic feedback inside-out tracking, eye-tracking as well as 3D sound into its kit which hasn't yet received the final price.

"PSVR 2 is poised to be an important step for it in the gaming space," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PSVR 2 preview. "It remains to be seen whether PSVR 2 will be able to draw widespread attention, but at the minimum, I'm confident that it'll move us one step closer in achieving the full potential of this device."
