The tier that takes hold in World of Warcraft is some of the best gear that any character could get, and that's why all of the guides and BiS lists concentrate on them. On the other hand, more gear sets have nothing to do with combat or optimization and therefore are just as popular, or even more expensive, compared to conventional PvP or raiding sets.

3. The Midsummer Set

An official set that's an area of the seasonal fare throughout the Midsummer Fire Festival and it is only available to buy for a short time. Add a fire-themed non-combat pet-like dragonkin for that full effect.

Head. There's nothing wrong with using the official helm, the Crown from the Fire Festival, there is however a rare Epic item known as the Circle of Flame that drops from Ambassador Flamelash in Blackrock Depths and appears even better.

Shoulders. The Mantle from the Fire Festival can be obtained from any seasonal vendor for 100 Burning Blossoms.

Chest. The Vestments of Summer cost 100 Burning Blossoms, just like the mantle.

Feet. The Sandals of Summer allow it to look like the feet are on fire, matching the steamy shoulders, provided the smoothness has the whole set they can also get a buff, the Spirit of Midsummer.

2. The Catrina Set

This set combines several misc items which players may use to see ghosts along with other unseen characters. One of the best areas of this set may be the hat, which is only accessible via a hidden quest in Tanaris. It's worth doing just for that lore of the old quest which has long since been taken off the retail version of the game.

1. The Lunar New Year Set

The first holiday from the Azerothioan year overlaps slightly with Feast from the Winter Vwil, which also has a nice non-combat set using the typical toque and fur-trimmed suit. The Lunar New Year is about the color red for this festive event. Still, there are numerous suits and dresses to select from in a variety of colors for individuals who prefer to mix things up with their fireworks.

Chest. The Lovely Red Dress is a decent option, and then any Tailor could make one, which makes it even more advantageous. The best option, however, may be the seasonal garb, the red version from the Festival Suit. This is a pattern that's sold by vendors throughout the event. Only Tailors can make sure they are but any character can put them on.

Hat. The Crimson Felt Hat is one of the early BiS items for spellcasters after they reach Northrend also it matches perfectly using the suit.

Pet. The Spirit of Summer, a companion pet rewarded in the Midsummer Fire Festival event, looks a lot more like a sparkling little firework because it floats about, also it's red.
