A new "GroupWatch" function for devices has now begun to roll out on Disney+, starting with a restricted group of Canadian consumers.

Seven people will be able to watch a movie or episode simultaneously using this new function, and everyone will be able to use the controls, such as pausing the video.

In order to invite friends and family to join, users must copy the link that is generated by the new group feature icon, which is located next to the "Watch List" icon. The recipient will be asked to sign up for Disney+ if they don't already have one.

There are several restrictions, such as the inability to participate if a show or movie isn't offered in their area. Children's profiles can be password-protected and are not able to start Disney Plus Group Watch. Emojis that show on screens as part of GroupWatch are another interactive feature.
