Billiards is a 3D computer simulation that accurately recreates five different billiard games, including my personal favorites: 9-ball, 8 Ball Pool, 3-balls, straight, and snooker.

You and a companion can play Pool in either a live or match format, with a choice of six different table cloth colors. The balls seem and move realistically, albeit the aiming cue should be improved. If you pull the cue back as far as you can, the target will enlarge toward the ball you're shooting for, giving you more force, but it won't go as far as you need it to be order to predict where the ball will land.

Using the 'C' button, the player can toggle and rotate the camera to a new position. The time between shots and the rate at which the balls move are both accelerated at your discretion. A red dot on the ball serves as your spin controller, while a digital scoreboard keeps track of your standings. Changing between pools isn't made apparent, and the game might use some fresh environments and adversaries to keep things interesting.

Billiards is an excellent simulation of a rapid game of billiards, yet it needs some personality to get a better rating.
