Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Deuteronomy 10:21 He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.
Psalm 34:18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Isaiah 53:5 He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
May you be reassured that the word of the Lord and the promises of God, the will of the Almighty, will come to pass, both to the blessing of His people and to the destruction of His enemies, so choose you this day which side you will take. Jeremiah 37:9,10
May you obey the Lord by following His word, for then it will go well with you and your life will be spared. Jeremiah 37
May you always remember that your hope is from God and your strength is from the Lord, whether circumstances are for you or people turn against you, for the favor of man matters no more than the displeasure of authorities when they stand against the will of God. Jeremiah 37
May you always speak the word of God and the message of the Lord before men with boldness when needed and compassion when required, but with confidence always, as a lion, but when making your own request, walk in humility as a lamb, always aware that you are a clay vessel which only carries the glory of God and does not possess it. Jeremiah 37
May you know to receive the provision of the Lord and accept the rescue of God from the hand of the ones He sends your way. It should be no surprise if those who claim God's name yet reject His truth deal spitefully with you, but those who hunger for His will apart from the traditional venues prove to be obedient to His leading. Jeremiah 38
My child, there is a time early in your walk with Me when it is good to run and play in the open grassy areas, giving no heed to anything but the simple joy of freedom I have given you from fear and the wonderful lightness of heart after I released you from the burdens of condemnation. The pathway is broad and the threats of danger are few, so an occasional word of correction from the Father will keep you in an area of safety.
The journey with Me progresses, though, into darker, narrower confines, and you learn that you must pay closer attention to the path. You find that you have to walk closer to, and keep pace with, the Father, neither running ahead nor lagging behind. You must remain watchful for tripping hazards, and there are more frequent opportunities to become separated unless you remain diligent in paying attention.
There are dark, difficult-to-find places that must be visited, bringing light and encouragement and warmth, and there are others that are not visited at this time. It is only by maintaining your communication with the Father through the Spirit and the Word that you can know where and when His work is to be done.
Though He leads you into areas you dread to visit, you soon learn that these are the places that His heart holds dear. Those who have the least in this world are so often those who know best how much they depend on Him. Their faith is the deepest and their praise is the richest, being undefiled by self-serving attitudes.
Before long, as you marvel over what you have seen and heard, you begin to understand that you were not led there to be a blessing to those you fed or clothed; you were merely the servant sent by the Master to give His gifts to His friends, and they, in return, gifted you with blessings of perspective and riches of spirit that you did not realize you lacked until you met them.
Let the oil of the Spirit accompany all that you do, and receive from others the oil that they impart to you, so that the light of your witness will remain shining in the midst of the darkness that surrounds you.
May you give full respect and willing service to those through whom God supplies your material needs, whether they be unbelievers, who can be shown the truth of your faith by your respect and diligence, or whether they be brothers in Christ, to whom you can minister faithfully, knowing your diligent service will benefit the family of God. 1 Timothy 6
May you seek for godliness, with contentment, for that is great gain, unlike those who have been robbed of the truth, thinking that godliness is a way to become wealthy. 1 Timothy 6
May you have the grace to flee from the desire for the riches of this world and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness, fighting the good fight of the faith, in order to take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6
May you continue to obey His commands without spot or blame in the sight of God, Who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, Who made the good confession before Pilate, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in His own time. He is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Who alone is immortal and Who lives in unapproachable light, Whom no one has seen or can see, and is deserving of honor and might forever. 1 Timothy 6
May you not become arrogant in the seasons when God blesses you with this world's wealth and goods, for riches are uncertain, but place your hope in God, Who richly provides you with everything for your enjoyment. Be generous and willing to share so that you may be rich in good deeds, laying up treasure for yourself as a firm foundation in the coming age, taking hold of the life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6
May you guard what has been entrusted to your care, turning away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith. 1 Timothy 6
May you be confident that God's promises are not forgotten even when circumstances appear to overwhelm them, for He will not make void His covenant established through the blood of His beloved Son to Whom He has given all authority and through Whom He will establish His kingdom, but He will remember how you have been mocked for His name's sake and will save you from the power of the grave. Psalm 89
