My looms are Macomber. I have a big 48" guy and a Baby Mac which is here with me now. The Baby has been cleaned and is ready for warping. A few months ago, because I couldn't get in touch with Macomber Loom in Maine, I made super hooks for it. Last month, I was able to order a whole set of them just to be on the safe side. The Baby Mac came with four reeds: 8, 10, 12, 15, which is excellent because I love to weave fine silk.
What else did I make? A raddle, lamm depressor, PVC warping mill (yet unfinished), and an EPI gauge. Since the first EPI gauge looked a tad crude, I remade it to get a neater look. Will have to do it again once I get a sturdier wooden ruler; this time, it will have both a 1" and a 1/2" gauge.

In addition to floor loom weaving, I do tapestry, my primary interest. There's also shibori, adire, ikat, and yuzen. All of which I've learnt how to do at the Haywood Professional Crafts Fiber program in Clyde, and all of which I still practice.

Right now, I'm reorganizing the house into living and studio space, dyeing some sisal twine to be woven into a rug, and winding a 7 yard warp of 8/4 cotton to wrap and dye to make some ikat kitchen towels.

Life is good! Thanks be to God!

Since I’m far away from all my weaving equipment, tools, and yarn stash, I’ve had to improvise. My latest improvisation? A bobbin tree. Five strands of aluminum wire wrapped and with branches added on, all steadied by a circular base. It works and that’s good for now.
