Time to get your chicken coops in order folks, and to make sure that you that have extra supplies for your coop's as well before the Wintery weather hits.
1. Make sure you buy a few extra bags of chicken feed
2. Make sure you have extra bags of bedding for their coop.
3. Make sure you have some extra tarps to offer shelter from the upcoming Wintery weather.
4. Make sure that your chicken coops have an attached secured run for your chickens as well. (You want to make sure that your chickens are protected from all kinds of predators.)
5. Can your chickens survive negative temperatures in their coops this Winter, like negative double digits cold? (If not... do you have a place set up in a barn, a shed, or even your garage that if you need to bring them into a warmer place that you can?)
There has been too many odd weather "events" in places that do not certain types of weather these past two months, and these weather tragedies/disasters are something that many Americans are questioning.
So with that said... make sure that your chickens and any other animals that you have are going to be able to survive this coming Winter.
Have a back up on their supplies (feed, meds, bedding, and what not) buy some extra feed bags now before the prices and availability change.
Be prepared, and set up a spare warmer shelter (back up) for them incase your local weather is not what it typically is... because too many storms these past few months seem to be generated or created... call it what you want, but there seems to be some seriously questionable weather "events".

Your chickens are food source, and you want to protect them and make sure they are going to survive this coming, no matter what the weather is.

Stay safe this Winter, and make sure you are prepared as best as you can be... for both you, your households, and your animals.
