The goat gazebo is almost finished. We still have some of the roof pieces to lay down but mostly they can use it right now, and they have. Day one I painted all of the wood. Day two we built the structure, leveled the polls and braced it, day three we added the roof structure and started placing the roof pieces. We stopped for a couple of days as it was very windy and the pollen was just terrible and with Ron and his asthma he needed cleaner air so we took a day off, then it rained another day that stopped us as well. We'll get back at it soon and finish the roofing.. Here is what we have done so far.. Oh and our building inspectors are right on the job as well....

We did the framing and the decking on day one of construction. Day two was a bust... Too much heat, too much pollen and too much wind. We took the day off. Yesterday, day three we leveled up the posts, braced them and put up the roofing structure in preparation for the roofing material. It'll take both of us to get them up there as they are eight feet long. It's aluminum so they are not really heavy just bulky. We are using awning material for the roof so it's not going to be waterproof but will give them some much needed shade in their goat area to protect them from the very hot sunny Florida summers. Pictures of the finished product will be forth coming....

Goat gazebo progress:
Yesterday was prepping and preparing. Today, day 2. we built the framing and laid the decking. We would have had the day's project done sooner but the kids just had to help.... Then of course they had to be the building inspectors.... Tomorrow we will square up the framing and add the roof.....
