Yasai Kinpira
Kinpira means a cooking style that you stir fry and simmer with sugar and soy sauce. The most common ingredients used for Kinpira is gobo 御坊 (burdock) and carrot, but lotus root is another common ingredient for this cooking style.

Gobo Kinpira is a typical Japanese home cooking dish. You can eat it as a side dish, served with rice or in a bento meal. Ones you know the cooking method it’s a simple dish to make.
I made it this time with carrot, parsnips and celeriac. These are typical Dutch vegetables. You can also use daikon or green belly pepers as long as they are crunchy vegetables!
