If one believes the Bishop Ussher time line for a creation date, one runs into insurmountable problems with archaeological discoveries as well as mainstream methods of dating finds. To begin this page I am offering the theory that the Biblical genealogies in Genesis have been misunderstood; that there was only one high priest at a time; that the age after the 'begat' was the term of the high priest service; and that when added together give a year for the Great Flood of 6619 after Creation.
Then, following the Great Flood, it is probable that a period of 6600 years has elapsed. Now if we believe that God has a perfect sense of symmetry, that makes it entirely plausible that we are within 19 years of the end of the Great Tribulation! I am very aware that no man knows the day or hour, but I am also aware that God has provided to us signs of the times and has chided us for failing to take notice of them.
Does anyone have serious questions or contributions to make toward this effort to know God better?
