One step is not a journey, but likewise, a thousand steps without direction never lead to a destination. Life is a constant journey in different directions, and we can only take it one step at time. We just need to make sure we are always taking steps.

There are few things greater than to be the reason that someone smiles. Be the joy in somebody’s life, be the reason they smile! ?
On January 28, 2020, one year ago, I was at Criteria Studios in Miami for my first ever recording session to record 5 songs. Of the songs recorded on that day, I have released A Patriot's Prayer, Marigolds Blowing in the Wind, and The Sound of Freedom.
It is hard to believe that momentous day was already a year ago! Aside from writing and arranging all my music, that recording session was my first, official step in embarking on my music career. God truly blessed me with all the people He put in my life to make that recording session a success. I cannot wait to be back in the studio soon to work on more amazing music to share with you!
Coincidentally, but quite appropriately, on the one year anniversary of my first recording session, I launched an amazing new platform on my website. The Community by Emily E. Finke is the ultimate place for all things creativity, music, vintage pop culture, friendship, and more! Bypass social media and third-party hosts, gain access to exclusive content and features, and interact with me and lots of friends in this warm-hearted community. Releasing this project on that day was completely unintentional, but I like to think God had it all planned out this way just to make me smile. Now, for 2 consecutive years, January 28 has held a career changing event. It makes me wonder what January 28, 2022, will hold!
