I'm sowing my pole beans early, I'd prefer bush beans... but I will plant some of those as well in May.
Last year I accidently bought pole bean seeds, and they seemed to take for ever to produce beans compared to the bush beans I planted the year before.
So this year I will plant the remaining pole beans and keep buying bush bean seeds as I see them. (I will probably plant both kinds of beans.)
Over the coming weeks I will plant more squash and some sugar pumpkins as well.
Nothing like fresh pumpkin for baking pumpkin goodies in the Fall/Winter season.
I decided to start sowing some seeds into our raised garden bed, despite our region and when our last frost date is... I sowed the seeds, I watered them, and added grass clipping on top of the whole raised garden bed. We are suppose to get some rainy weather, so I'm trying to take advantage of the rain and sowing the seeds.
I figured our lawns are growing and I had to mow, so why not try and sow some seeds now. I could always sow more seeds after Mother's Day, since that is when our area is suppose to start our gardens.
I figure I will sow some more seeds next week, and more each following weeks and see what grows. Because ya can never have too many fresh garden veggies that you grow.
If our garden does well, I will trade some of my veggies with some friends who grow different veggies then we do.

This person on another site named Tyrfryr (dmhotrod) "Transformed an old pergola in a corner of the backyard into a greenhouse. I think it came out pretty good."
I thought that was pretty cool transformation of a standing structure into a nice usable greenhouse.
So I'm sharing the photos.
(The photos were on the other site, and I decided to bring them over here, so show people... you can pretty much make your own greenhouse in your backyard if you have some knowledge of building things.
I truly hope this person's greenhouse brings them a plentiful garden for their household.
