The #moleg has the opportunity to give Missourians the option to use sound money by making gold and silver legal tender again. This would protect the value of our hard earned dollar from the raging inflation caused by out of control government spending/money printing. It would also ensure that we have the freedom to transact as the federal government is moving us closer to a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
One of the questions frequently asked is, "How are you going to buy a loaf of bread with gold at the grocery store?" Great question! One of the free market solutions is the Goldback. This is essentially gold foil money that businesses in other states have started to accept as currency. Different options exist, but this is just one example of a practical way to use gold/silver as money!
