Here we go again let’s keep the scare going in America by going after their young. Let’s take our common yearly occurrence of Kawasaki disease and turn it into a Corona related scare. I read that the incidence rates of Kawasaki disease in the U.S. are approximately 19 to 25 cases per 100,000 children under age 5 — but are higher in children of Asian descent. Doctors don’t know what causes it and it can not be diagnosed by a single test or even a group of tests. Drs. Diagnose by observing signs and symptoms. It is typically a self limited condition with fever and manifestations of acute inflammation lasting for an average of 12 days without therapy. However cardiac complications can occur to include heart failure and death. It usually effects patients under 5 but it can effect older children and teenagers and it’s more common in boys than girls. And oh yes, most cases are diagnosed in the winter and the spring. Look it up for yourself I’m sure it won’t take you long to see that they are taking a not so rare disease calling it rare and linking it to COVID 19 because nobody can prove it one way or the other.
