Each year, we remember those who fought and gave their lives so that you and I would have the rights and privileges of living in a free country. It is by the mighty hand of God that we are saved, we are protected, and we are free to live in the Land of the Brave. Never take that freedom for granted. It is a precious commodity for which the world hungers, and it is a powerful charge for you and me to protect.
The future of the United States depends in large amount on how well we collectively remember and cherish what liberty really is and the terror of tyranny. There is a high cost to forgetting - those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. The best way to pay an unpayable debt is to show that we didn’t forget with the way we live our lives, how we stand for our freedoms – ALL of them!
